The ONE sales blunder new coaches make

And my biggest regret of this year

What's the first thing that typically goes on in our minds when we sell our coaching packages?

Make it as visible as possible (everywhere!), right?

We add it to our profiles, add the CTAs to book a free discovery call, let our friends & acquaintance know, ask for referrals, bust our ass off creating content, and so much more!

But the one thing we typically miss?

Giving a sneak peek into what happens in our container!

What do I mean by this?

How often do you explain the below points to your audience?

  • Who is the right fit and not the right fit to work with you

  • What can the client expect from you as a coach during the partnership?

  • What outcomes will your coachees get if they choose to work with you?

  • How does it FEEL to be in your container?

  • Why are you the right person to coach them on the topic?

  • What happens in your discovery calls?

  • What happens in your coaching container? Typically, you'd have seen a pattern, right?

  • Case studies and testimonials

  • What do you do differently from other coaches? Why?

Why is this crucial?

We need to understand that though the coaching industry has been there for over a decade, it's only now getting some eyeballs all over the world (it was too US-centric before)

So, if you want to serve a truly global audience from around the world, you need to realize that people still don't know what coaching truly is.

And there's a good possibility that you are their first coach.

Since coaching packages are typically a premium service and an experience-based service, while selling through your content, you need to make people aware of what goes on inside your container.

Sell the experience! Not the offer!

What happens when you do this periodically?

  1. You'll automatically stand out, attract some people more fiercely, and repel some more fiercely! Which is a great thing, trust me.

  2. Folks with similar values, nature, and psyche as you will get attracted to you.

  3. When you set the expectations with people in your posts, the working environment becomes much easier! Of course, you need to discuss it again, but you get the point.

  4. People on the edge, who cannot decide whether to work with you or not...will decide. Trust me, the more you go up the ladder, the more people will be waiting, pondering the decision for XYZ reasons.

Trust me, I didn't do it for a good chunk of the year (cough cough...until last month), too.

And when I realized this, it was such a huge face-palm moment for me. Actually? I was genuinely mopping over this mistake for days. Ask my husband.

I kept overthinking how many potential clients I could serve I had lost over months...on and on, it went (I am like that, okay??!! The chronic overthinker!)

And I immediately knew I had to write about this. Who knows? Probably, I'll give you a sneak peek inside my container, my values, and more in next week's newsletter?!
