Do you lowball yourself on pricing your services?

Dear trailblazer,

How many times has your brain gotten drowned in these thoughts?

“I cannot increase my prices. I’m not good enough! And who is going to pay so much for just talking to me?”

”Oh, this person doesn’t have the money to pay me. So I’m gonna slash my prices by half because I wanna help them.”

”What if I fuck up during coaching? Will I be able to compensate for the price?”

“My audience cannot afford to pay me.”

This is normal in the beginning, trust me.

I used to get tormented by these thoughts months ago too! Which made me charge way lesser than my worth, even though I had exponentially improved from the last time I increased my prices.

But then, I realized something.

So what happens when you lowball your price?

😢You do not respect your client enough to come up with that money to pay for your service. If your potential client really wants to work with you, they'll put all their heart and soul into ensuring you work together. This is not your job.

[I got this ah-ha moment when my coach set boundaries with me, and I worked my ass off to pay her. Gosh, the respect I felt for myself then can’t be explained. And I took the coaching much more seriously than I ever would have.]😢A sense of resentment broods in when you receive the money. Your heart knows you're settling for less. It’s like a sad thump. Your higher self knows you're not respecting your craft, the effort you've put into it, or yourself enough. There’s this pesky inner voice in your head, “You should have charged higher, you dumbass!”😢You do not bring your A+ game into your coaching sessions. And some friction develops between you and your client, especially if it’s long-term coaching. As time passes on, your energy decreases, and your resentment increases. And sometimes, you might end up doing only the bare minimum.

While on the other side, when you raise your prices to your level:

😍You push yourself out of your comfort zone and work towards bringing your A+ game! Even if you charge higher than your level, you’ll do everything to fill the skill gap. 😍You respect yourself and your client, thus keeping both of you on the same pedestal! This affects how you set boundaries, expectations, relationships, and more! Trust me; there’s nothing better than such a relationship! It’s fucking amazing!😍Most importantly, in your heart, it feels so fucking right!

Why is this so important?

Because money is an energy that needs to be respected; after all, if you do not respect the medium of exchange, your worth, or your client’s worth, what’s the point of even building a successful business, isn’t it?

You are putting so much energy and effort into your business. Why are you stopping yourself from reaping its benefits? What’s stopping you?

COACHING TIME!

  • If you are undercharging, dig deep and look into the WHY.

  • How do you view yourself and your clients? Do you keep both parties on the same level? Different? Why?

  • What are your limiting/negative beliefs when it comes to pricing? Where does it come from? How can you rewire it?

Disclaimer: If you want to keep a lower entry point option for your potential client, that’s an entirely different topic! That’d come under business models where you can have multiple entry points for your dream clients based on their budgets and requirements. Please don’t confuse the two!

I hope this helps you get a fresh perspective on your price and take the big, bold action to increase it. Big & bold because IT IS scary lol; I don’t deny it at all! But valuing our business is always frightening, but oh so worth it.

P.S.: If you're comfortable with your price and want to stick to it, go ahead! But if you're feeling friction, it's high time you check into it, no?
