I still remember my discovery call with him sometime in November. We had initially met through a common CBC, and I was taking customer interviews at the time for my new niche.

During the call, he started sharing how he wanted to become a writing coach because he didn’t want to do copywriting for others anymore…but was super confused. He had a purposeful direction.He slowly started getting leads for coaching and writing, which he accepted. Now he’s also super mindful of what he wants and dares to say no if the opportunity isn’t right. That comes from clarity of thought and purpose.

But because of our internal frictions. Most folks don’t realize that your energy matters, especially in businesses that involve empathy and creativity.

Even if your content is technically excellent, people won’t be able to trust you because they’d feel your friction completely. They probably will not be able to pinpoint the cause, but they’d feel like something’s wrong, which would put them off and stop them from becoming your super fan.I’ve consistently seen identity integration as one of the biggest problems for all my clients. They make assumptions and automatically put themselves in boxes, causing too much friction. Of course, the situations are different, but the root cause is always the same.

As simple and complex as it sounds…ask yourself.

“What imaginative box am I putting myself in? How am I letting that stop me from building the coaching business of my dreams?”
