Achieve exponential business growth with this ONE powerful step

Reading time: 6 minutes
I had been a logical person, driven by my mind, for as long as I could remember. Making the right decisions had always been my priority since childhood.
Until I turned 23.
That’s when I started listening to my heart.
I was almost forced to since I couldn’t be the same logical Shruthi anymore. It was causing nothing but friction and resistance inside me, and I had to change. It was…suffocating me, to be honest.
Of course, it wasn’t an easy change. Oh, it was fucking difficult…but it was genuinely needed at the time.
What seemed to be technically ‘correct’ decisions were never right for me, you see? Whenever I didn’t listen to my intuition, I felt an intense pain in my gut. It also affected my quality of life and my mental health. That’s when I understood things had to change.
(That’s when I accepted how emotionally sensitive I was. Which is a story for another day)
Often, unknowingly we humans put ourselves into millions of arbitrary boxes created by society. We stuff ourselves into them when we are meant for something completely different and bigger.
Days, months, and years go by.
Sometimes along the way, we pause to realize, “How the fuck did I even end up here?”. Other times we keep going forward in a rote motion.
The same happens in business too.
You go on and on learning the next strategy, “hack”, or course, but you don’t pause to reflect. Do the deep inner work required. Truly dig deep and check with your heart if you’re going on the right path.
I know…that this might seem voodoo or unimportant. But trust me. Inner work constitutes 80% of your business! Strategy, knowledge, blah blah blah is simply 20%.
How can you expect your business to grow if you don’t focus on the 80% part?
Okay, Shruthi…all this sounds great! But how do I implement it?
Great question!!
Take a piece of paper and journal on the following questions periodically (every 2 months minimum):
What parts of my business do I NOT like? Or am facing friction/resistance?
Why don’t I like them? Are they against my values? Am I letting my true vision get clouded by my fears? What is it?
Is there a project my heart said, “Hell yes!” to, but I kept it aside because it didn’t make sense?
How do I want to feel in all aspects of my business? What brave steps can I take to achieve that goal?
Am I putting anything off to focus on my business? Why? Can I incorporate them into my day-to-day work?
Am I having fun? Am I enjoying my business? Am I living the life I expected when I quit my job to pursue entrepreneurship?
These are some deep questions, no doubt. And sometimes it’ll also get difficult to listen to your heart. You might come up with blankness. Remember, that’s completely okay.
The answers from the universe are sometimes mega loud, sometimes like a whisper, and other times silent.
Your job isn’t to question it. But to listen. Here are some tips:
Go on a historic dig
Jot down all the times you felt that squeaky feeling in your gut, but you didn’t listen to it because it didn't make logical sense then. You knew something bad was going to happen, and it did later. But you realized all this only in hindsight.
This can be in business, life, or relationships. Write down every instance. Noticing that you had a gut instinct in the past will make you more self-aware in the present. And see the patterns too.
Meditate & Journal
This one practice will take you a million steps ahead of your peers. It’s okay if you don’t meditate every day! But at least do it a couple of times a week for a minimum of 10 min at a time. That’s all I ask.
When you meditate, ask yourself questions (You can journal on this too)
Is this decision right for me? Do I want to launch my offer? Why? What brings me joy? What makes me happy? How will it look like if I follow my heart?
If your mind is calm, you’ll get a resounding yes or no from inside. Otherwise...
It’s subtle, like a whisper… But you'll hear it, you simply need to listen…I can assure you. It might come immediately or after a good night’s sleep or a few days, but it will.
One thing most people forget, though, is that meditation is also like your business.
You need to do it your way.
It's really to each their own. Some sit still in a quiet place. Some activate their senses. Some focus on 1 thing. And some do guided meditation. The same with journaling You can write, type, and record your voice or videos. Even paint or sketch! Do it your way!
P.S.: I am spiritual, and it works for me. Here, I’m not trying to impose my beliefs on any of you. But you can try it based on your faith. I pray every day. And while praying, I ask questions to the universe. While meditating, I listen to the answers. Somehow, I truly believe that god is a beautiful medium to receive.
Notice your physical symptoms.
When you make a decision, how do you feel? Tightness in your chest? An immediate sense of dread? Tired or reluctant? On the other hand, do you feel a sense of openness? Relief? Peaceful? Like a huge weight has been lifted off your chest?
These aren’t your thoughts. I’m talking about the physical sensation in your body. Notice them deeply because these are your body's ways of communicating with you. When you cannot hear your heart, pay heed to your body.
You can also jot down the symptoms to understand your patterns.
Listening to your intuition and heart isn’t enough. At all. The BIGGEST question here is:
ARE YOU BOLD ENOUGH TO ACT ON WHAT YOU HEAR??
Because one without another is buying groceries and not cooking your meals. Useless, right?
When you listen to your heart, if:
You get goosebumps
The hair on your neck stands up
You can’t sleep at night because you’re so fucking excited & passionate to work on your dreams
You’re fucking terrified but are ready to go!!
You’re in the right place. Trust me ♥️
Listening to my intuition is the best thing I've ever done for my biz It has led me to:
• Raise my prices & work with fantabulous folks
• Consider opportunities I'd never have otherwise
• Take up projects even though I was fucking scared
I want you to have all these results and more during this process!
